What makes this different to the Choral Music Safari?

  • There is one concert featured, instead of two on the Choral Music Safari
  • This tour is a little shorter, running at approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

Our Choral Music Dinner is a scheduled tour, suitable for the solo traveler, couples and anybody that wants to join other travellers on a special evening journey. Guests enjoy a visit to the home of a choral duo for a home-cooked dinner and an intimate concert.

South Africa has a rich choral tradition. The most famous choral group is probably the Soweto Gospel Choir, who tour all over the world, sharing the evocative harmonies of our choral tradition.

There are two choral paradigms in Cape Town: Cape Malay and isiXhosa. The Choral Music Dinner tour explores one of these traditions in an intimate setting – in the home of a Cape Town choral duo,  with a home cooked Cape meal.

A typical itinerary looks like this:

  • 18h45 – 19h15 Collection at accommodation
  • 19h30 Arrive at the home of choral music duo
  • 19h30 – 2115 Dinner, concert, conversation
  • 21h15 – 21h45 Drop off at accommodation
