Kigali Art Safari

Visiting artists, gallerists and curators in their studios, galleries and homes, and exploring public art.

Private Tour

Duration: 4 Hours

The Kigali Art Safari is a four-hour exploration of art as it is found in galleries, public spaces, and artists' studios across the city.

On this private tour, guests are introduced to galleries and artists we love, including Inema Arts Centre, Museum Ingabo, and the Rwanda Art Museum. We aim to meet a curator to get a sense not only of what is under their curatorship, but also of the scene in general.

Public art is important to us, moving the gallery onto the street and engaging collective consciousness in public expression. We bring in a specialist for this component to provide deeper context. As a final element, we step inside the creative process with a visit to an artist in their studio.

This experience is best suited for:

  • Those interested in contemporary African fine art and its future.
  • Travelers seeking insider access and personal engagements with artists.
  • Anyone curious about art's role in community and economic development.
